“I just bought this to upgrade from a lite on model CV8-8E128-HP. installed it and laptop wont recognize it. Is this the right type? I have been up to the store twice in 16hrs and was told 2.5 ssd first, then this and had pic of original ssd for them”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hp has bios lock what ssd can be read by the board. I would suggest get hp branded ssd when on deal . Have been on that same boat it took a few foram post to get this information. But usually hp laptop service manual also has the information. Hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Maybe enable it in the bios...i got mine to work on a sabertooth 990fx motherboard with an pci-e adapter. And that board is 8yrs old. Had to enable in bios.
