This was replaced by my protection plan with Geek Squad so the warranty will be for as long as I renew my plan.... the plans are the best way to protect your equipment

Only just started mechanically failing and throwing errors in the last month, so as long as you backup, you should have no issues with warranty work unless you routinely drop-kick your drives across the room, lol.

I've been dealing with WD for a long time; one of their beta testers, actually. Good quality products and customer service.
