Yes. M.2 drivea will all use the same port. Juat remeber to backup your data.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.So long as the M.2 slot is a M.2 2280 it will. Most systems use M.2 2280 standard, I cannot see any confirmation on the HP website itself. However if the laptop only has a singular M.2 Spot you will need to reinstall the O.S on this SSD. This is also a PCIE 3.0 SSD, the newest standard for 12th gen ( Which you'll have if its a new model ) is PCIE 4.0 which can be 2x as fast. This isn't super necessary if you're not constantly transferring files from other drives, or online. If you're just accessing your storage on the device PCIE 3.0 is MORE than enough as you wont notice PCIE 4.0 in most day to day tasks.
