• I regularly use the 10TB EasyStore as a backup device. My most recent refresh took 64 minutes to add 520GB of mixed files sizes to the backup (roughly 8GB/min). Your system's motherboard and USB version will have an impact on the actual performance you observe. Also, be use to use built in copy utilities like ROBOCOPY in windows. These utilities out perform and are fare more versatile when compared to regular file explorer manipulation.

• They will be speedy but it will depend on your connection. To get the proper thruput you should be using a USB 3 connection. USB 2 will work fine but doesn't have the speed you are looking for.
