Yes... But you are limited to usb3 read/write speeds. If that is a concern for your games, then pass.

You would be Better off performance wise if you installed the computer game on your pro 6 hard drive, and moved files onto the external drive (photos/docs/ect.) The speed of these drives is not near what the solid state drive can achieve on the pro 6, so if it's an intensive game performance could be really bad if installed externally. So the other guy/gal is right, but just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you SHOULD, or even that it's Recommended.
