• There was WD Software preloaded. Unsure of usage as I formatted it for other usage.

• It has backup software that is very nice. It keeps a constant backup of your system daily. The software has many options. I’ve used these for years. Just bought the 10 gig and love it knowing my data is always checked and backed up Automatically.
