Although it will work with either an Xbox One or PS4, they store and encrypt files in different ways. You would need a separate external drive for each.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. The system writes it's own program on to the hard drive. If you put this on the other console it will erase everything and format it for that system at the time.
