No the passport has to be hooked up to a PC (or Laptop). The passport is just a memory card basically. It doesn't have it's own built in Wi-Fi or whatever to receive and process data on its own. But it's super handy, easy to install and unistall at any USB port available, and easy to find when you're looking for it on the computer. I have to say that is a cool idea though. i'm pretty sure an app like Drop Box or One Drive will help you though. Just instantly send pics you've taken to the app and they're instantly available on all devices you have registered with either of them. Good Luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.WD - My Passport 1T External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive runs off usb power provided by your device. It is not a wireless drive and will need to be connected to receive photos, etc, from your device. It is likely that your camera will not power the external hard drive. Transfer photos to your computer and then to the external hard drive.
