• This particular model is made to be compatible specifically with he MAC OS. The advantage to this is that I did not have to initialize the drive in order to use it - it was ready to go right out of the box. It should be compatible with any Mac that accepts an external hard drive.

• can't address iPad as I don't like apple products but the Lenovo is probably just fine
