• It depends on what Operating System you are using. Here is what it states in the manual: Disk Drive Format Your My Passport Ultra drive is formatted as a single NTFS partition for compatibility with all updated Windows operating systems. If you want to use the drive with a Mac computer, see “Reformatting the Drive” on page 54 and “Troubleshooting” on page 55.
