• I use this drive to copy my /users folders on my Windows desktop mad Windows laptop as backups.

• Yes but only if they are the same kind of brand. for example Two PCS. or two MACs. You can't backup one PC and one MAC. You can however format the drive for both and manually copy files in the hard drive. In that case you would just format for both PC and MAC as it would prompt you to.

• YES. Most backup programs create files on the backup drive and therefore you can backup two or more different computers to one drive provided you have enough space. There are some programs which can "clone" your computer's drive. In this case you would have to make multiple partitions on the drive and this could complicate things for you if you are using Windows.
