• yes. You can also select what to back up: the entire system, a specific folder/fle, etc.

• I use it to backup my mac pro. The Mac OS has the backup option, and you just set the wd passport as the backup location. You can formatcandvpartionvtgevwd passporrt before youbsetup the backup if you want to make it two drives. I am sure windows can do the same.
