• This is a plug and play device that has program software installed in it to install in your computer. The program is simple to use and offers a system back up as well.

• The paperwork is in a file on the machine. After plugging it in to your computer go to "computer" and click on the unit and open the file that has the instructions

• Mine came with paperwork and a USB cord. these drives are plug and play. you really don't need any paper work. shruddy

• Correct. The documentation for many electronics are now kept online or are pre installed. In this case, you can find pdfs on the hard drive.

• I never use paperwork. It is a plug and play drive. Smart store software is on the drive. Go to the Western Digital website for help
