ABSOLUTELY! I got this exact drive and have LONG-since backed-up my Win7 files and Win10 recognized EVERY file/program/drive on re-install. NO PROBLEM-Os! The drive itself has MANY different formatting options you can play around with until you get the one you want! Have fun & good luck!

If you save your documents to this drive you can unplug it from you computer and plug it into ant other computer to acces those documents.
