Yes, although the you may have to reformat it using disk utility.

There is a way to format it to work with MAC. Go to the western digital website and search for the manual and you want to look for exFAT instructions. One thing I suggest doing first is to make sure nothing is saved in it then do a clean erase. This allows you to give enough space for it to re-format to use with MAC. I recently did it and was scratching my head to why it wasn't working via instructions then I just told myself it may need to be cleaned erased and then followed the steps and it instantly worked. Hope that helps.
