While keeping a cover on it will certainly help, water that splashes up from hitting the ground (raindrops, sprinkler spray, etc.) and relatively high humidity in general (ex: East Texas, Louisiana, etc.) will cause the underside and inside of cabinet to rust as they are not protected against rust and corrosion. It is best to roll the grill into a climate controlled garage, storage shed, etc. after it has cooled down when it is not being used.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased the cover for it so haven’t noticed any rust yet. I’ll also put the grill away for winter to help avoid it from rusting. It’s a very nice grill want it to last.
