• Yes it has a "tuner", but it does NOT have a QAM tuner needed for unsrambling cable. I spoke to Westinghouse on the phone & they told me that. I asked because I was buying it for someone in a location where there is cable coming into the building going into 1 cable box, then to the various apartments. They said it will not work in that case you must have the QAM tuner.

• yes, i used auto tune and it did not take long at all

• I'm sorry, I just pressed the wrong button ("unhelpful" instead of "helpful") in response to someone's statement the tv had no built in tuner.. Of course it has one.
