You simply need to hang the unit using the cleverly designed back bracket as a template for locating the holes to hang it from. Then lag bolt and toggle bolt the back bracket to the rear wall. Venting up or to the rear involves removing panels that block one of the external exhaust ports and installing the provided covers to block the recirc exhaust ports that are along the top front edge.

Since we are in the middle of our remodel we have not been able to see how well the fan/venting works, but love the look of the low profile.
