“Can a 40 watt halogen bulb be used instead of a 25 watt bulb on the bottom of the Whirlpool 1.1 cu under-the-counter microwave (WML55011HW)? I wanted more illumination and found such a bulb which seems to be working well but I do not want to do any harm!”

• After installation, we had to have the fuse and the lightbulb replaced. When I installed the new lightbulb. I was disappointed that it wasn't as bright as the first time I turned the light on. Perhaps I had a 40 watt bulb, but they replaced it with a 25 watt bulb. Not sure. Would be interested in knowing this.
