- Answer Dear Customer, The GC900QPP trash compactor is a convertible, freestanding model with castors that can be moved from room to room. Model GX900QPP will have the same features as the GC900QPP model only this is an undercounter model that has to be built-in in a cabinet setting. Models GX900QPP and GC900QPP are the most featured compactors Whirlpool offers. Model TU800SPP is an undercounter model that will not have some of the features that the GC900QPP model has. Model TU800SPP features knob controls whereas model GC900QPP has touch pad controls. Model TU800SPP does not have the hidden removable key control knob that the GC900QPP has nor does it feature the tilt-away trash basket. Thank you for your interest in the Whirlpool trash compactors.

QuestionSpec indicates weight is 145 pounds. Can this be correct?My kitchen has wood floors. will I need to protect floor to protect from impressions into wood flooring

- Answer You would just order the specific bags for your unit. For instance your dealer can contact us to determine the part number for the bags on model GC900QPPB or you could request the parts list for your unit after purchase so you have it on hand to order the bags whenever you feel is necessary.

QuestionMy counters with the quartz are 36" tall, this is cool but is top stylish and finished to not need to put a shelf or topper on it? Otherwise it will be taller than the counter.

- Answer It was an exact match for my old unit, and it was properly described. Exactly for a snug cabinet opening. I dont know about the white one you are looking at, but i suspect you are looking at a stand alone vs built in, or at the packaged height. BTW, there is a little bit of height/leveling adjustment. The rear coasters have 3 positions and the front has screw adjusted leveling.
