Can u set the controls with door open and then close it? I'm wanting to get the diswasher pushed back as far as it will go so it doesnt stick out too much in front of cabinets and that may cause controls to not be visible. null

Hi Chi, yes the controls on this model are designed so you select your cycle with the door open. From there you have roughly 5 seconds the to close the door and the cycle will start. If you take longer than 5 seconds to close the door, the unit will cancel the cycle. We hope this helps!

Yes, you can use the controls with the door open. Have to do this all of the time but it works great with this dishwasher.
We have the same issue, where you cannot see the controls the door closed.

Yes. We enter the cleaning and drying options we want on the control pad, press start, then close the door. There is a small light on the front that indicates what cycle it is in if you are unable to easily see the control panel.

The controls have to be set with the door open, as the controls are located along the top edge of the door. If you set the dishwasher back, you will have no problem accessing the controls. 

This is my third, and favorite dishwasher. With the controls on top, the little kids are not able to push the buttons and start the machine by mistake. I also love that the silverware tray is on the door and doesn't take space away from the dish washing space.

Make you wash selection with the door open. Then press the start button and close the door. A red light will shine on your floor. It's then working. Very quiet dishwasher

You have to push the start button once the door is closed. The dishwasher can be raised or lowered. We lowered it to the lowest setting and I am able to see and push the buttons when the door is closed..
