My unit also was making ice very slowly in the first three days (owner's manual refers to three days to full production). I have not checked recently as the unit is in a weekend home (I'll know this weekend). There is a fast ice option set at the control panel; please refer to owner's manual.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm having the same problem. I had to buy ice elsewhere because it makes such a small amount... and very slowly. Even when "fast ice" is turned on.

We let ours sit overnight before even plugging in, just in case shipping jostled things. Also using a fridge thermometer to keep track. Not surprised ice isn't full yet, but once it gets going, you'll wonder if it'll stop. Awesome ice/water function, love mine.

Wait 72 hours for full ice production. To turn on the Fast Ice feature, press OPTIONS then TEMP. When the feature is on, the Fast Ice icon will appear on the dispenser display screen. The Fast Ice setting will remain on for 24 hours unless manually turned off. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our KitchenAid appliances!
