“Hello, My whirlpool washer will not allow for soaking longer than about 20 minutes. I choose the soak option and press start, I don’t lift the lid, yet it drains out soon after. Any suggestions to get longer soak times?”

After dealing w/ the machine emptying & wasting water each time I try to soak, I think the only alternative is to soak in the sink or a dishpan & then dealing w/ wet clothes to transfer to the machine.

If you are needing additional time to soak fabric, you will need to do a follow-up soak cycle to restart the cycle. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you.
