“Has anyone had a problem with the electrical components frying after a power outage? It is 5 months old and needs a new one after a second power outage.I don't want to face this after every power outage! Ridiculous. I am sick of going to the laundromat.”

Always use a power strip to protect against power peaks/spikes and power troughs/losses. Be sure to match the voltage and amperage to your nameplate on your machine using the nomenclature. Always buy a power strip with a higher rating than your appliance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I connected it to a surge protector, just as caution always do. Mounted it on wall above washer and it works. We've had a couple outages with no problems.

The timer, water level sensor, ect. are no longer mechanical switches....as with most everything today, its all computer driven & sensitive to dirty power.
