• The sides appear to be a glossy gray and not stainless steel. To be honest, I never noticed that they were not stainless steel until I looked to answer this question. The photo shows the edge of the stainless steel door and the side.

• No, they are a different texture -- not sure what, but they are also in a gray and match well with the front.
