is the front of the dryer flat or does it bulge outwards? Am trying to understand whether the middle of the front of the unit sticks out slightly more than at the edges. Thanks

Hi, and thank you for your interest in our appliances. The door is flat, but there is a slight bulge for the hinges and the handle. These are less than 1/2" outward, but the door itself is flat.

Yes it does. Total dimensions of the dryer are as specified, but the footprint is a couple inches smaller than the total depth. Keep in mind another 5-6 inches behind the dryer are required for the vent hose unless you reconfigure to vent from the side, which according to the manual is possible, but probably not easy.
