I've had this filter in for at least 3 weeks. I've cleared at least 3 ice bins and the water and ice still tastes bad. How long should I keep clearing the ice and throwing out water? null

Hello D808. You will need to run 4 gallons of water through the Water Filter to activate the Filter. If you need further assistance please call Whirlpool at 800-253-1301. We are available Monday & Tuesday 8:00 am - 8:00 pm and Wednesday through Friday 9:00 am - 7:00 pm. They will be better able to assist you.

I’ve been using these filters for two years & have never needed to clear out more than one ice run. I believe what you may have is a water hose problem.

Not sure, but I have a water filter on my water line under my sink that also goes to the fridge. My water is fine.
