“I have a camera that does need to be plugged into a power source with an option of cat5 plug as well. if the power source plug needs to be longer wil the installer have that available. also my entire house is pre-wired cat5”

I doubt it as that comes from the manufacturer of the camera. He's more likely to have a cat5 cable on hand (which would probably never happen) but the power comes from the camera manufacturer.
