• I actually vacuum both the black and hepa filter every day to make sure that I enjoy peak performance. How long does this practice prolong the usage of the hepa filter? I don't know, but it is worth giving it a try.

• Winix recommends changing the carbon filter every 3 months and the true HEPA filter every 12 months. The unit also has a Change Filter Indicator that will light up when it is time to change the true HEPA
