- Answer Matt, the Winix U450 is perfect for removing mold spores and pet dander. The fine mesh pre filter will capture large pet hair and dander, the washable carbon filter will combat pet odors and the true HEPA filter will catch any mold spores and other particles as small as .3 microns.

QuestionAre all the filters washable or do some need to be replaced on a regular basis? I'm looking for something that doesn't require filter replacement and additional cost down the road.

- Answer The Winix U450 will definitely help with dog hair and dust. The fine mesh pre-filter captures larger particles such as the pet hair. The True HEPA filter will combat 99.97% of particles and pollutants as small as .3 microns such as the dust. The Advanced Odor Control carbon filter will help with pet, cooking and all other household odors.
