Hello there! Thank you for your inquiry. A 40V battery isn’t compatible with the WG261, as this model is designed to use 20V PowerShare batteries only. The 40V batteries are built differently and won’t fit or operate with the WG261. To power it properly, you’ll want to use a 20V PowerShare battery, which includes options like 2.0Ah, 4.0Ah, 6.0Ah, or 8.0Ah depending on the run time you need.
