I have two gaming rigs - one with a RX580 and one with RX590... the 580 is comparable in performance that I wouldn't consider upgrading. The performance is a minuscule enhancement for alot of extra heat and a possible power supply upgrade. I would save your cash for a bigger power supply (like a 650w+) and then upgrade to the next generation mid-grade AMD card in mid-to-late 2020. Bottom line: save your money - the performance is not worth it. (better yet, use the money to pick up a ryzen 5 3600 or 3700X and be prepared for new games)

However, I do have 16gb ram and a Ryzen 7 2700x so that probably uses more power. You're talking about around 40 W more for this card compared to a 4gb RX 580, so if you think you have at least that much to spare, then go for it.
