What if the power is out. Would it still work? null

This works with 4 AA batteries independently of commercial power. It works with the app via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. If the device was to lose power, it can be powered via 9-volt on the keypad in an emergency.

Yes - You can always use the battery operated lock with the keypad. If the lock's batteries die, there is also a 9V back-up charger for emergencies
