• ANY CD player will work. AS far as the Yamaha's supplied remote control, no it is not a programmable nor learning remote control. It only has the capability of sending its factory programmed commands to the Yamaha receiver. You will need a 3rd party programmable or learning remote control that will have to be programmed to learn the commands of the Yamaha receiver and the CD Player.

• Ether one of the Yamaha CD players will work with the remote that came with the Yamaha receiver.
