You are producing distortion which is heat. Amps thermal is kicking in. Need more volume then get a BIGGER receiver with more power. This is a 50 by 4. It is a SMALL receiver. It is the same as red lining a tach on a car. Engines don't like it and will shut down if it perceives imminent damage, Receivers do the same.I would also try checking your speaker connections and type of speaker wire. If wire is too small then it will shut the amp down at higher volumes and if your speakers are wired out of phase then it can also cause the receiver to shut down. If all that is correct and it still shuts down then you need a bigger receiver with more power.
