Why does it shut down by itself? null

Mine has not done this. Perhaps it is an overheating issue?

If you look in the manual, you'll find that the receiver is set to shut off after 8 hour (by default). This setting can be turned off using the remote and cycling through the settings.

Because in the settings you can choose the hours before it shuts off.

It shouldn't unless you or someone accidentally activated the sleep button. It happened to me a few time by accident.
