“Each of the speakers in my pair has two sets of connectors: a 4 ohm 70 watt main connector, AND a 6 ohm 160 watt subwoofer connector. The specs on the Best Buy site says 4 ohms are compatible, manual says 8 ohms. Are my speakers compatible?”

Probably. I hook my stuff up and give it a try. If it sounds good, it's OK. Be careful about the subwoofer. There is no subwoofer connection for this receiver. I would opt for a receiver with a separate subwoofer output.
