• Yep, Apple pencil works great on these. Its a very smooth surface and it feels just like it does if you were using the apple pencil on the unprotected screen itself.

• Yes it actually still works very well especially for simple tasks like writing or quick sketches. If you are using the pressure sensitive portion then you may have to push a tiny bit hard, but nothing even noticeable.
