• The protector is affixed onto your screen and does not need to be removed for each use. It is an extra optional film to protect your screen. The protector itself is clear so i don't see it being bad on the eyes. I only experience temporary vision issue after prolonged viewing of any lcd type screens. My age might have a part in that.

• You don't and shouldn't remove it, if you do you won't get it back on. I see no difference with or without for glare or strain on the eyes.
