No. Goes on well as soon as you put it on. However 2hrs into the installation the protector kept on popping up every time I use my phone to text. It mad it hard to text it prevented me from useing my phone's touch screen. I was really thinking Samsung made another fail. That night I put a little weight and turned it face down to see if it'll adhere better. Long story short it didn't the whole protector came off. End up using plastic. Works a lot better.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. It fits under the otter box defender. But the adhesive isn't great. The top frame of the defender doesn't hold the shield down & will start to lift. Flicking the side menu will cause it to lift even more.
