• it'll pick up smudges if you have something oily for sure... Probably not as bad as a tempered glass picking up smudges since it has more of a matte type finish to it.

• No if you have lotion on your hands it will pick it up it's designed to to help stop the Breakage but I use a wipe the name is Zeiss and it cleans the phone well.
