A:AnswerI have used these for several years, Although I have never needed this feature on this device, I have never seen where it did. I always use an external system to get those kind of features. I's a great recorder tho.....
A:AnswerZoom does actually offer an extension cable for the swappable microphone capsules. It's the "Zoom ECM-3 Extension Cable for Zoom Interchangeable Input Capsules", which sounds like what you're looking for. Just keep in mind that the gain knob for the microphone module is on the module itself, which would be at the end of the boom pole if you mount it there. This might make setting levels a tad more difficult than if it were on the recorder itself, but once they are set, it shouldn't be an issue.
A:AnswerIt can, though you may want to get the omnidirectional mic for it. Keep in mind, this is targeted at recording for audio production and may be overkill if you just want to reproduce what was said at a meeting. The recording will definitely be super high quality if that's what you are looking for.
A:AnswerThere are a number of.wav and.mp3 bit rates in both stereo and multitrack. If you need mono just record stereo then use Audacity to convert to mono. Works perfectly. Love it!
