With 8 hours of TV show to adapt a 1,000 page novel, I thought HULU, Stephen King, and J.J. Abrams had this in the bag. I was wrong. The show is halfway decent at best. I'm not trying to be 'that guy', but the novel is better on every level. The show shares more in the name of the project versus content.

What can you say about a movie? You seriously need this filled in?

This was ok. Not the best Stephen King adaption but not the worst.

One dimensional characters and plotting story line make it seen more like second rate network TV than premium cable. James Franco makes for an unconvincing protagonist.

Forced Down the 1st 2 episodes and haven't been able to watch anymore. Read the book. It was way more exciting and interesting.

I really loved this book by Stephen King but this mini series was a disappointment.

Mostly true to the book. Drags in a few spots, hence the 4 stars, but so do his novels. Good fun is catching the visual illusions to other King novels, all recognizable to "constant readers." Most obvious is Christine driven by a troubled character. Complete list of King Easter eggs available on line. 2 discs. Excellent quality.

Since I don't subscribe to Hulu, I had no way to watch this before buying do it was a blind purchase and a good one. I was hooked right away from the first episode. James F. isn't always the best actor but he brought his A-game to this show. There were a few slow points scattered through out but they didn't hinder the overall story. I highly recommend you pick this up and when you have a rainy weekend, sit back, binge and enjoy.

Really cool story with an awesome twist. Well done, James Franco is never a let down for me. Love the feel of the show. I do love a good time travel story...especially set in the 60s.
