    I got this on my laptop. Only after I had called about a question did I find out that this is not coverage for 2 years. Its only coverage for the amount that you paid. So if for example the battery dies and i asked them to fix it. Then something else were to happen after if it came to more than the amount it would not cover everything. When I bought it I was told it covered everything including accidents. I was never told there was a dollar amount attached to it.

    Horrific Best Buy / Geek Squad No-Service

    I purchase a new Dell laptop and 3 year extended warranty in 11/2020. The hard drive died yesterday. I took made an appointment and took it into Geek Squad yesterday. The guy check it out and basically said, "Yeah, something bad is wrong with this." It's clear that that the hard drive is a goner. He then told me that they're going to have to ship my laptop off to someplace in Kentucky for further evaluation and that it's going to take 4 to 6 WEEKS before we'll know what the diagnosis is. I literally thought the guy was joking. I should have taken my laptop back right then but I didn't. What's the point in buying a 3 year warranty when it takes up to 6 weeks to get a laptop diagnosed. In the meantime, I'm going to have to buy a new laptop because I am a small business owner and cannot be without my computer. What's the point in purchasing a $350 warranty if it takes 4 to 6 weeks just to have my computer diagnosed -- which forces me to purchase a new laptop in the meantime? It's obvious that the hard drive is fried so they should have given me a credit for the amount of the original computer purchase (about $1,400) and allowed me to purchase a new one. I will NEVER purchase an extended warranty from Best Buy again. If we lived, perhaps, in some third world country, I could understand it. This is the most atrocious service I have every experience.

    My laptop isn’t covered because the CPU that the manufacturer installed isn’t installed correctly. I have no idea how to do it. I need a working laptop

    Geek squad sent out my device to Kentucky for repair. They received it on July 2 and it has not been repaired or assigned to an agent yet, even though the parts that need to be replaced are in stock. It has not moved since July 2. I called the geek squad number and they said that they would send me an email on the status. I have yet to receive it. Yesterday I went into the Walden Galleria store and spoke to the manager. He told me he did not know what the hold up is, even though the parts are in stock. He told me he would check on it and call me to let me know what was going on, but I have heard nothing yet. No phone call or email. Either fix the laptop or give me a new one! I had spent a lot of money for a warranty and this laptop, entrusting geek squad for quick repair. Not happy with this service right now! It is now July 21 and without a laptop.

    Best Buy customer service is lousy!! You can't speak to anyone at the store, it routes you to another country. No two people tell you the same story. I was concerned about the return policy and the customer rep. told me that I had a year to return the product for any reason. I was like WOW really? This doesn't sound right. Can you show me in my contract where it states that this is the case? She hung up on me. Called again and got someone different who couldn't even answer my questions. Totally clueless:(

    I purchased the 3 year accidental Geek squad protection. Since the laptop was inexpensive, the protection was too. But it cost almost as much as the laptop. It's a good deal because you never know what will happen with laptops, even if they never leave the desk area.

    Purchased this for the first laptop I purchased. It has been in repair for over 5 weeks. No updates, no calls. When I call them they act as if I am bothering them. No text updates, no nothing VERY BAD PRODUCT AND SERVICE.
