    No Geek Squad warranty for me this year

    Save your money and just say no. Odds are you won't use this coverage or if you do it won't cover what you need it for. I was told they will have to send the chromebook out which take 3-4 weeks. If they can fix it they will. If not they will charge me a $40 shipping fee. I can just as easily take it to a computer store and pay them $50 to fix the issue next day. Stores make a killing off of warranties we never use or they never honor. I'm sure I see a class action law suit in their near future. Of course now it's out of warranty.

    My purchase date was July 26 2017, I brought my laptop in on July 26 2018, simply because of my busy schedule . The laptop had never worked right . It was always freezing and couldn't communicate with my home network via -wifi. Then the hard drive crashed, I was told my Protection plan expired at midnight 11.59 on July 25 2018. SCAM. Besides why does the protection plan and the manufacturer's warranty run concurrently. BIG TIME SCAM! Beware of these dates when you pay for these warranties

    Do not buy warranty from Geek squad, heavily inflated prices and turn around takes forever. For most manufacturers you can order extended warranty from them and have them fix your device on-site. I returned my warranty and paid for the longer, more coverage manufacturer coverage that was cheaper.

    The laptop was repaired after the screen housing detached from the lower housing. My plan was then cancelled. The same thing happened a few weeks later and it could not be repaired. I had to throw away the laptop and buy a new one. Make sure you read the fine print when buying these "protection plans"....

    We're on our third trip with a bad laptop. The first time they sent us home to re-install Windows. That didn't work. The second time they sent it off to repair and the motherboard was replaced. That only worked for a couple of weeks. Now we're headed back but the warranty expired in the time between the last non-repair and now. Here's hoping that they'll just refund it and be done. This was a waste of time and money.

    My laptop fell out of the car so i brought it into geek squad to get it replaced or get store credit. They turned me away and said it was too damaged and they werent going to help me. Completely unacceptable!!!! What is the point in buying this warranty if they dont help you and tell you that your laptop is too damaged!!!

    Purchased this plan for a reconditioned laptop. Upon taking it in for repair, was told the parts may not even be available. When I asked to exchange the laptop for a new one, was told it needed to be sent out first to prove that parts were unavailable. Turnaround time may be up to two months! Now my child is without a device for virtual learning.

    Geek Squad did everything they could do to "scare" me into letting them upgrade the computer. Was able to upgrade the PC to Windows 10 Creator myself with no issues.

    Touch screen cracked while in padded case. I told by greek squad tech over the phone that wasn't covered by the accidental protection. I would have to pay to have screen switched and they only offered 3 month warranty. It was cheaper to buy a new computer

    Laptop fell, left w/geeks 9-19-17. Tracking 9-25-17, part in stock, unit in queue to be assigned to agent. Today 10-5-17, no update posted since. Called Geek no., they say more parts ordered, but no other update. No loaner, no replacement, Great support for freshman first semester. I'll try to add when this ends.

    Never used it. I guess I was told I needed it. But found out later Chrome Books dont get virus ect. Next time I will need to ask more questions.

    Totally disappointed. It took 3 techs to assist. Had to wait 1/2 hour after appointment time. Wanted me to purchase a one year contract in order to help.

    Absolutely horrible experiences with trying to get the warranty honored and dealing with all the loop holes. It took about 2 months to get them to finally replace my laptop. I had asked for one 2/3 the price of the one they finally gave me.
