    Sucks. Dont purchase. My computer inset mouse pad stopped working. I was tol yes this purchase would allow an even exchange. No they need to take my computer for three weeks....no. That is not what i was told.

    This was a ripoff! It only covers a 1 time replacement! It lasts for 3 yrs, but is only a single-use warranty, if you use it, then u have to buy another one to cover the replaced item! It states that in the fine print, they don't tell you that at time of purchase!! Dont waste your $!!

    A little bit pricy on the price and it takes to long for the service before it can fixed. Geek should improved their service schedule.

    When I turned in my laptop, Geek Squad took over month to return it. Every time I looked into my order status, it will state they were "working on it" which lasted over three weeks. I tried to call to find out about the status, since I am taking classes and really needed my laptop back. I even visited the store where I turned in my laptop and they did not know about it. I had to wait very long time to get it back, and if I knew it before I would not have purchased this insurance, its not worth it.

    I was told that will take up to 3 weeks to fix a problem with the battery on my 2 months old laptop!! Never paying them again.

      Hello Alboholic – If your computer has an internal battery, it can take a bit of time to have a new one ordered in. I can sometimes take longer to find parts for brand new computers, as they aren’t as readily available as parts for computers that have been in circulation for a while. For updates on the status of your repair, please don’t hesitate to reach back out to the store where you checked it in.

    Was tossed around to 5 different people on phone to see if they woould honor my protection plan that recently expired this week. Could not get an answer! even the clerk at the best buystore for geek squad could not help me get an answer. Waste of time and waste of money- horrible customer service.

    I set up an appointment to have a laptop tune up. Unfortunately I got turned away when during the check-in process. I was told the plan does not cover it. If the plan did not cover it, I should have been informed during the appointment setup and not when I was in the store already checking in.... Very disappointed....

    I felt tricked into buying this service after Geek Squad deleted background report that would generate where the malware populated, as if they knew it might show Best Buy free product as the culprit

    Took device in after just having recently purchased due to what appears to be an operating system problem. Geek squad couldn't identify and wants to charge me for a thorough troubleshoot. All they did was turn it on and guess at what could be wrong. Don't fall for there coverage plans. There deceptive and overall full of bleepbleepbleep!!!! Beware!!!!

    Geek Squad damaged my laptop.

    Sent in my laptop for a couple of repairs, hinges and speakers specifically. Right speaker is still much lower than the left, and hinges have a bunch of dents and scrapes. While one of the problems was fixed, the rest are still present.

    Very disappointed! I bought this protection plan on three different laptops and the first time I need to use it I want to send my laptop away to Kentucky for two weeks and I will lose my job over it because I work from home I need my laptop. It has a manufactures defect but yet they’re still not willing to replace it!

    They usually never help me with nothing. Last time they said my macbook digital board was broken and will cost me $1,125 for the fix and guess what? I didn't go thru with the fix and went home and two days later my computer turn on and is still working fine.
