The red color has a nice brushed look to it. The plastic pieces (basket and scoop) are made of a gentler plastic material so as along as you handle it with care, it shouldn’t be a problem.

But however overtime it needs more and more cleaning due to residue buildup on the inside. Even if you use nothing but filtered water. But works great

Only on days that end in Y. I will continue with bag ice for my Yeti cooler.

The only issue is the small cubes are way to small, kept falling thru the basket, but the large are a perfect size. It does not take long to make ice to fill a gallon bag. Also a little large for my counter, but other than that I found it to be really good. When friends come over they all have asked about the machine. I say what it is, and all want to buy one soon.! I even show them the ice I make.

We like making different drinks in our household and this is coming in really handy. It doesn't make very much noise which I appreciate because I sleep during the day.

To make larger/firmer/drier ice use colder water.
TIP - let the first couple of batches of ice produced fall into the water reservoir to chill the water.

Unit is fast freezing and delivery. Requires overseeing for ice removal and water replenishment, but worth the small effort. Cant wait to try it in the campground.

Love how much ice this machine makes. I had a different brand and it just stopped working one day. This one is much quieter than previous model. Very happy with product and would recommend.
