compact system easy to understand for not so savvy user

Bought this for our 24 yr old, he had an HP with Windows 8 before this. It took a little getting used to but he finally is using only it. He hasn't had any problems with it, other than that I don't know much about it. He just watches YouTube and regular internet browsing, including Facebook.

For what I use a computer for, this was a great purchase! I love how it shuts down instantly. When I open the lid, the login screen appears instantly. From the time I open the lid and put in my password, I'm ready to go in about 30 seconds. I can't believe the features it has for the price. Love the 1080 HD especially.

I had this product a little over a year - Purchased 7/2016; SSD went bad. Used it to surf the web no more than three times a week. $200.00 for a year... Really?

I recently bought this Chromebook after much research. It was between this one and the Toshiba Chromebook 2. I bought a Chromebook primarily to use for college and at home (web surfing, Youtube, Netflix). I hesitated about buying this one at first because of the size of the screen, I wanted something a tad smaller. Now that I have it home and have used it a bit, I'm glad I got the bigger screen. It's not a heavy laptop, and fits nicely on my lap. The biggest reason I chose this one over the Toshiba was the fact this one has a faster processor, and that really makes a difference. This Chromebook is fast. It boots fast, everything loads fast, and it has a lot of memory. Another thing to consider is the price. This is an excellent machine and the price can't be beat. Literally, Best Buy offers the best price on this Chromebook. Other retailers want $100+ more. So if you are looking for a Chromebook that won't disappoint, look no further.

Should have already had this chromebook months ago. This works great for what I do on line. Very pleased with my notebook. Seems to have a long battery life. My son told me these are the way to go for someone like me. I know how to turn it on and search the net. Great service from Best buy fast shipping.

Have had this for few weeks.I enjoy the simplicity of chrome operating system. A lot less headaches than windows 10! Use GOOGLE from phone to computer.

There are some very colorful words I would like to use at the moment to describe my experience with this Acer Chromebook but I will be mature about it. It's a HORRIBLE purchase. I've had it for 2 months now and yesterday the screen went black while I was working, then came back up with a notification that the "Chrome OS was missing". WHAT?! So to fix this issue you have to take a blank USB or SD card and download OS recover app from another laptop or computer, put it on the usb or sd card then insert into the broken Chromebook. Great, after trying this 4 times I finally got it to work. Only for it to do the same thing again 2 hours later, went through the entire recover process again...only for it to do it again 2 hours later. Mind you each time this happens I'm in the middle of working. And files you had saved to the OS deletes. Now I'm
