I just picked this up yesterday but so far, so good. Only a small amount of noise from the fans, it's pretty quiet. I can't compare it to other cooling pads as this is the first one I've ever bought but I would imagine it's definitely one of the quieter ones. I was worried that my small Chromebook (HP 11.6") wouldn't sit over both fans but it does perfectly. I use my Chromebook mostly for Zoom and routine tasks/browsing/streaming and it does heat up quite a bit when doing a long Zoom meeting or using it in general for an extended period of time. I can assure you that this cooling pad definitely works, heat has been reduced drastically. I did a test with charging the Chromebook, a couple apps open and streaming a movie with screen at max brightness for 35 mins and I would say the heat was less than half of what it would be when not on the cooling pad. Which is to say that it's keeping it cooled well. I do use this sitting on a table so can't give any info on how well it works sitting on your lap, although as I'm writing this review I'm trying it out on my lap and it appears to be working just fine, I can feel the airflow still and it's keeping my Chromebook nice & cool. Blue lights may be too much for those using at night in the dark but I haven't used it that way so far. Is nice that the USB plug has an open USB port on it so you don't lose access to that port. I also like that it is angled as well making typing easy. Overall, pretty slick little cooling pad for 20 bucks. I highly recommend.

For the price, this is a good deal. I didn't need anything fancy so this fit the bill. It is nice that it's slanted a bit it helps with typing but that is also the CON for this product because it is slanted laptop slides down and I constantly find myself pushing it up.

I'm not a gamer, but I have my laptop on quite a bit. This is PERFECT. It is slightly angled, I never hear the fans running, and it connects to the USB port on my laptop. Pull the USB plug and the fans turn off. Excellent product for the price. 14"W X 11'L. Very sturdy. I put my Aunt's 17" laptop on it without any issues.

I love that it comes on as soon as the computer turns on. It also keeps my laptop at an angle making it easier to use the keyboard. I've used other bases that are supposed to keep the computer cool...but I've still had to use cold packs on occasion! But no more...this fan system really does the job!

For under $20, you really can't beat this deal. Just make sure you try it out asap. I had to exchange the 1st one I received because one of the fans was positioned incorrectly and would hit/rub something when it was spinning. The sound was pretty annoying and I'm sure it was bad for all components involved. Fair warning, it's not whisper quiet. It's not too loud either, but you'll definitely hear the motor and/or the fans spinning. Again, for $20 it does the job and its got a 1 year warranty. It's going to come down to whether it's not quiet enough for your personal preference or needs. Just try it and return if its too loud.

Yes, it does keep my HP M6 cooler than before this purchase HOWEVER my M6 is just too hot (NOT in a good way) for my own good. It still shuts down without any warning due to overheating using its featured but dysfunctional "cool sense." Streaming is absolutely out of the question. I must still limit the number of application in use. The blue lights light up the whole bedroom at night...a bit too much! It is quiet. I appreciate the angled keyboard access. Love the fact I don't have to have to find another electrical outlet. I like the USB cable which allows another USB to be inserted into it getting double use out of 1 USB port. Just wish it could stop my M6 from overheat shutdown...do they make PC air conditioners??

Stylish and effective cooler for my laptop. A little slippery even with rubber feet underneath the laptop but great for its purpose.

This cooling pad works nice and quiet on the background. My laptop stays nice and cool. The pad tilts the laptop a little. This makes typing somewhat easier.

This is the best laptop cooling pad I have ever had. I have previously bought 4 different laptop coolers and this is the first one that really works. I have had it for over a month and use it daily and have had no problems. I love the soft light under the pad. Good price and great product! Thanks Best Buy and Aluratek!

Fan works well, runs quiet. Lights are pretty bright (around my 14" laptop), making the whole room blue! I have no trouble with my laptop sliding on the metal surface, but I dislike the pad having no OFF switch. You have to unplug it from the computer to turn it off - it even runs when the laptop is in sleep mode.

I needed a cooling mat for my Mac, college student so I went cheap and big. I have a 13 inch so this is way too big. But it gives me a sense of a mini desk when i set it on my bed. It has a Tron feel to it. It lights up blue its soundless, and obviously cool. If they had a smaller size I would buy it.

My sister has a cooling pad, not sure the brand, but hers collects dust and is incredibly loud and smelly. This brand however is wonderful! It still runs quiet, and it truly does keep my laptop cool, even if its been on for hours.

Keeps my laptop cool. Little bit noisy. Also little bit slippery. Otherwise happy with it.

The cooling pad works alright, although I can't say it moves a LOT of air or anything but it does help. It runs off the USB from my laptop so that's convenient as well. It keeps the laptop from burning me or getting too awful hot. I have a Macbook Pro with Turbo boost up to 3.5 ghz so the processor can get pretty warm, although I don't really game on it much or anything but I play an MMORPG that can be demanding sometimes. All in all, a decent buy for an average user with an average laptop.

This cooling pad is perfect. It's not loud or heavy and does a great job of cooling my laptop. It turns on when I open my laptop and off when it closes. Worth the money

I have a Dell Insiporon 15R which was heating up really bad.. It even hit a auto reboot loop issue when it over heats and becomes unusable for quite a while until it cools down. I was looking for an affordable cooling pad and came across this in BB, Honestly, this has solved the heating issue so far! No overheating and no reboot loops since I started using it. I would recommend this to anyone who owns a overheating laptop. BTW, there is no fan noise which is an icing on the cake.

It certainly cools as described, but the cheaper construction and fans are noticeable. Definitely louder than other units I've used, but it is effective at pushing air.

Perfect size and angle for using without a separate keyboard. Relatively quiet fan.

I purchased this cooling pad for HP 15.6" Envy 360 2-n-1 laptop to the cooling pad I had just purchased for twice the price, that wasn't cutting it. This cooling pad is the best I've come across and it's half the price as the competition. The Black metal mesh surface is durable and lightweight with hard plastic on the underside. Two large pretty powerful fans -800 rpm, backlit with a blue glowing light with a USB connect on the underside with a keeper for when your not using. The best part is the slanted slope of the cooling pad that makes it easier to work on my laptop. I sit my laptop on cooling pad, plug in USB and I can carry it wherever Im working, the table, my desk, and best part I can lay it on my bed or my lap without it getting warm. I used a generic 16" laptop sleeve to put the fan in and I just zip it in when I'm done, put it down in my laptop bag with my laptop as I walk out the door. It way surpasses the competition and I would highly recommend this to anyone.

This device is the best.It keeps the heat off of my lap.It has a USB port which is cool.
