The Bip Max while being affordable, includes far more features then you might expect at this price point. Battery life, screen size, notifications, phone calls, Zepp app, multitude of workouts, sensors, and ease of use are all top shelf and in many ways, better than pricier options. The physical size and thickness of the watch itself might need to be considered before purchase. After several days of use, I like it, especially the alerts to get me up and moving more. Almost feels like the Amazfit Bip Max has a playful and motivating system to not make me feel bad if I ignore it and miss an opportunity to move and be active. I've included more in depth review below. Unboxing: The watch, 22mm silicone watch band, magnetic charge puck and paperwork. A USB-C cable is oddly not included and will be needed to recharge watch. Size: The Bip Max is big. The sensor(s) on the back, also protrudes a bit. And when on wrist it stands tall. If you wear a watch on the inside of wrist. Less of an issue. On top of wrist. It sits high and appears larger than many regular timepieces. Not a negative, just noting it for those with small wrists. I chose to swap my own 22mm stainless watch band for the included strap. Silicone bands are itchy to me. Metal watch bands are easier for me and I prefer the look. Comfort is decent for a larger timepiece. App/Software: The watch app is called Zepp. Very thorough app to setup nearly every aspect of the watch. There are far too many features and settings to name. Favorite feature so far, badges. Badges are awarded to sort of "gamify" your progress to help motivate you. The app is very good and beyond what I have used before because the whole watch can be controlled in just this one app. One login and done. Workouts most would do are here. Weather where I live has kept me mostly stuck walking indoors. It seems to be fairly active for steps so far. Hopefully, kayaking and cycling can get tested soon. Watch faces. There are plenty of free faces and a few fancier ones that can cost up to $2.99. The free options are very good. Additional apps are also available through the Zepp app. Many for free. Maps are also added through the app. A nearly 200 x 125 mile map is only about 200mb. So, you can save a few very large areas to track where you workout or drive to. GPS is quick and accurate. While driving it chimes as you change roads and highways. Might need to mute that. One oddity noticed. Occasionally, the night mode (screen goes green, red, or orange) comes on. Great feature for night, but not sure why it randomly activates. It has a time feature and maybe needs to be set. Daily Use: I am an older guy and just trying to motivate myself to be a little less sloth like. The first thing is the screen size is much easier to see and use, even without readers. Daily use and wearing the watch everywhere, except shower (Bip is waterproof), and the morning briefing just keeps me on top of goals I set for myself. Badges add to accomplishments. Yet, just knowing sleep scores and daily movement are leading to potentially better health is worth the minimal purchase price. The watch also allows you to keep your phone pocketed more often. Haptics and alerts for notifications all come in easily from my Android. Emails, text and camera alerts are text only. You can see emojis and reply with them, but pictures or thumbnails do not show. You can also take and make calls, and quality is pretty good. Bluetooth audio is also present, but did not test yet as storage of 4gb (2gb free) is not enough for me as a standalone music player. The Zepp Flow assistant is possibly still a work in progress. It had trouble doing what I ask. It might get better the more it is used. I do not have any accent, and it struggles to understand me. Sensors and features: While all the included sensors are typical of most smart watches and seem to be very accurate for movement, heart and blood health. I wanted to note the lack of ECG/EKG, fall detection, temperature and NFC. None of these are totally necessary. Just be nice if included, but then the price would be much higher. Buttons on the side can be assigned to nearly every feature or app in the watch. Single press, long press and double press. Final thoughts: The biggest consideration is the size of the watch. If you can wear a watch this big. Then don't give it a second thought and buy it. It works great on its own and in conjunction with my Android phone. You get over a week of use between charges. Workouts, tracking health or just being a watch that shows notifications without reaching for the phone. It can always be with you. The Amazfit Bip Max is really good value in smart watches.

TLDR: A new smartwatch for Android and Apple phones. Stated 20 day charge, waterproof, 2.7 inch AMOLED bright screen, aluminum alloy shell, silicon watch strap, conductive charging, many sensors for Oxygen, Heartbeat, Steps, Miles, built-in GPS with offline maps, 4GB of onboard storage, and bluetooth for phone and messaging reception and replies. Some of the Specifications are: Bright Display: 2.07-inch always-on AMOLED touchscreen. Extreme Brightness: 416 x 416 resolution reaching 3000 nits. Design: 50mm aluminum alloy and polymer case. Comfortable Strap: 22mm interchangeable liquid silicone band. Massive Battery: Lasts up to 20 days per charge. Generous Storage: 4GB for music, podcasts, and offline maps. Water Protection: 5 ATM rating up to 50 meters. Universal Sync: Bluetooth compatible with iOS and Android. Health and Fitness Specs: Workout Variety: Over 150 tracked sports modes. Targeted Training: Includes a dedicated HYROX training profile. Offline Navigation: Built-in GPS supporting downloaded maps. Continuous Monitoring: Tracks heart rate and stress levels. Vital Health Metrics: Monitors SpO2, sleep, and BioCharge energy. Data Sharing: Wirelessly syncs to Strava, Runna, and TrainingPeaks. It is lightweight and easy to read in bright light and in dark rooms since it glows with an auto adjust of the brightness. It vibrates when a text message, phone call, or other notification arrives on my phone, a 6 year old Samsung Android with OS 14. I have used it while swimming and it does not skip a beat or care that it gets wet. There is no altitude sensor or a temperature sensor in case those are needed. I see my text messages, WhatsApp messages, and notices of phone calls on the watch. I used it to both reply and to initiate text messages directly from the watch face using the dictation function to create the text message. Very cool. It also allows replying to WhatsApp messages. I can also use the Bip Max smartwatch to make and receive phone calls via my phone's Bluetooth. I tested that and it worked for a 45 minute phone call while on the pool deck to a friend who said he heard me clearly as well as the normal phone connection. The speaker is on the opposite side of the 2 physical buttons so if I'm wearing it on the left arm I need to hold it toward my right ear to hear it at its best. I also swim with the watch and it automatically senses I am swimming and keeps tracking laps, total time, and also displays my heartbeat while swimming, among other specs. Very cool. After 1 day of wearing it the fact I am wearing it is of no consequence since it is very lightweight and waterproof so no worry about damaging it when in the pool area or showering. It displays weather info such as expected low and high temperatures as well as the current temperature from your phone data. It also knows where you are from the phone GPS circuit (if turned on). The software in the watch has tons of workout and health applications that I will be eagerly learning as I continue to use the watch daily. It is a welcome enhancement of my healthy routing from now on. Recommended and the $100 price makes it a huge bargain compared to the A, S, M and G brand watches.

I have used the Amazfit brand for a long time. It was traditionally my go to for an economical smartmatch that delivered battery life still measured by a single-digit but the metric shifted from day to month (“OG” Amazfit Bip had 45 day battery life!). Back then it was achieved with smaller screens and limited features (still had BPM and Sp02). Today however, the Bip MAX is a full-featured smartwatch with a bright and spacious AMOLED display, and still getting amazing battery life…double digits if measured by days and single digits if measured by weeks. The feature set has everything you could want. For my testing, I setup the wearable to to mirror my Notifications and capture my movements and remind me when I have been stationary too long. I wanted to MAXimize battery life. The ZEPP companion software is very extensive in its capabilities. Setting up the device does not require an account to turn and get the time, etc. But if you want integrations, a ZEPP account is necessary. Once in the watch, you can set it up as typical companion device or go all in and use ZEPP as a primary source for a multitude of features. Some like the Zepp Messenger app, which is supposed to combine all of your messages in one place from your selected apps, are not fully featured yet. As of now, only SMS is available. The Amazfit Bip MAX is a bit larger than I was expecting coming from a 44mm round display. However the build materials keep it light and it doesn't feel as large as it looks. Once jacket weather comes around I may need to rethink my attire game, but for summer livin' I haven't had any issues. The band is comfortable and breathable and should accommodate larger wrists. The strap attachment was a little tricky as the spring pin rotates in the band to slide out of the way when wearing, it just means it takes a couple tries to get it to seat. 11 days of use and I'm sitting at 52% battery so the 20 days battery life should hold true. This marks the 4th or 5th Amazfit product I have had as the “OG” Amazfit I bought 4 for myself and family members. And still have all of them, which do work when charged. I can easily recommend this wearable, I would recommend seeing it in person if possible as the size for smaller wrists may be too large.

I’ve been wearing a smartwatch for many years, so I was curious to see how the Amazfit Bip Max would compare, particularly since it offers many of the same types of health, fitness, notification, and smartwatch features at a much lower price. After almost a week with the Bip Max, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much it offers. Setting up the Bip Max was very straightforward, especially if you’ve used a smartwatch or fitness tracker before. After downloading the Zepp app for iOS or Android, you simply follow the on-screen instructions. The watch displays a QR code that makes pairing with your phone easy, and I was prompted to install a software update. The update took about five minutes. I was also impressed by the number of watch faces available. There are plenty of options to choose from, making it easy to customize the watch to your preferences. The touchscreen is very responsive, and navigating through the watch feels smooth and intuitive. The one area of setup that I didn’t particularly like was the watch band. Attaching the band was a little awkward, and I ultimately needed a small flat-head screwdriver to move the locking mechanism into place. Once attached, the included band also felt a little large on the underside of my wrist. Fortunately, Amazfit offers other replacement bands, and they’re reasonably priced. One of the things I noticed almost immediately was how responsive the Bip Max is with notifications. While testing the watch, I happened to be waiting for an Instacart delivery. Every time the shopper made a change to the order, I received a very noticeable haptic vibration on my wrist. In fact, I found the vibration more noticeable than what I typically experience with my other smartwatch. That’s a small thing, but it’s exactly the kind of feature that makes a device like this useful in everyday life. Battery life is one of the Bip Max’s biggest advantages. After almost a week, the watch is still at 56% battery. I have been switching back and forth between the Bip Max and my other smartwatch during testing, so I haven’t been wearing the Bip Max continuously. However, even when it wasn’t being actively worn, the battery drain at idle was minimal. I obviously haven’t had enough time to verify Amazfit’s maximum battery-life claim, but the battery performance I’ve seen so far is very encouraging. Coming from an traditional smartwatch, not having to think about charging the watch every day is a welcome change. The Bip Max provides a wide range of health and fitness tracking features, including heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, stress, workouts, and other activity measurements. The stress tracking is particularly interesting because the watch uses physiological information such as heart-rate variability to estimate stress levels. I wouldn’t consider this a replacement for an actual blood-pressure monitor, but it can provide another way to observe changes in your body’s response throughout the day. The watch also works with Zepp Aura, which adds additional sleep and wellness insights, coaching, reports, and other personalized information. I like that Aura Premium is available for people who want more detailed analysis, but I don’t feel that it’s necessary to get value from the Bip Max. The watch itself provides plenty of useful tracking without requiring a subscription. The Bip Max isn’t an traditional smartwatch replacement in every respect. Other smartwatches have much deeper integration with the their respective phone operating systems, a larger app ecosystem, and more extensive communication features. However, the Bip Max does a lot of the things that many people actually want from a smartwatch: it tracks activity and health information, provides notifications, offers GPS and workout tracking, has a bright touchscreen, and provides excellent battery life. And it does all of that without requiring you to charge the watch every day. After almost a week of use, I’ve been impressed with the Amazfit Bip Max. Is it perfect? No, but it’s very useable and at its price point, I think it’s very capable for most smartwatch and fitness tracking functions.
The watch has big display and very bright, can see clearly even under direct afternoon sun light. Even though it is big but the body is lightweight made of aluminum alloy, its dark color blends in with the strap making the large size less obvious. The included strap is very comfortable. The watch can track stress, sleep, heart rate, blood oxygen and you can control your watch with your voice using Zepp Flow. The included AI is pretty good seems the same as google gemini or chatgpt. These are other stuff it can track, Sleep heart rate variability, Sleep stages (including REM), Daytime naps, Sleep schedule, Sleep breathing quality. Can do Menstrual cycle tracking too. The watch's water-resistance grade is 5 ATM, meaning it can withstand pressure equivalent to 50 meters or 164 feet of static water depth for up to 10 minutes. Its speaker is pretty loud. Battery life is very good, on paper should last up to 20 days. In my case, with everything enabled, it lasted more than 5 days. Even thought it has GPS receiver and can train and navigate without the phone, to use it, you need to store offline map on the watch and import the route file for navigation to work. It is not possible to choose a point on the offline map and have it route for navigation. Navigation functions only work with outdoor sports modes like walking or running etc. Bluetooth Phone Camera Control supports only iPhone. Unfortunately my phone is an Android. The watch does not have wifi so must rely on bluetooth connection with the phone to update or download or access internet. To use the watch, you must install the Zepp app on the phone. No charging cable is provided.

Oh boy, I am loving this Amazfit BIP MAX fitness watch. Amazfit has come a long way since I first got one of their early models more than 8 years ago. This one feels far more mature in its capabilities. This is a great alternative to any of the name-brand Apple or Google fitness watches on the market. Amazfit has brought some features that you would wish they would provide. The first thing that catches the eye is the big, bright AMOLED screen that dominates your wrist. It is touch-responsive and provides a good, easy basis for the interface. There are two buttons on the right (if you wear it on the left hand) that provide access to the apps and the various workouts. The device features a microphone, speaker, Bluetooth, GPS, and various health-focused sensors like heart rate and oxygen. This device cannot perform EKGs, but that is not the main point, as it is not a medical-grade device. For a fitness tracker, this is a supercharged one. In the time I have had it, there are several things to like. First of all, is the battery life. I have found I can run a week or more without charging. That is fantastic, coming from my experience with competing brands and their battery life. This may vary if you track health metrics more often or set the watch to keep the screen on all the time, but for regular use, it is perfect. The next thing I loved was the sleep metrics; they actually do better monitoring than the iWatch, and it's almost like the Fitbit when it displays its results. This is very useful, along with resting heart rate and oxygen levels during sleep, which can indicate how well you actually slept. As an outdoor person, I appreciate the watch's several workout apps, not just the usual walking, running, cycling, and swimming. I counted over 100 different sports that can be accessed from the watch. Some unique ones I have never seen are yoga, weightlifting, indoor cycling, rope skipping, and core-strengthening exercises. The onboard GPS was a pleasant surprise. Download your basemaps and go for a walk; you can get lost and still find your way back home. I played around with the Zepp Flow app, an AI assistant that works quite well at providing quick information. Your phone has to be nearby, but it's nice to have this option on your wrist. The app store has several different apps that you can download, some free, some paid. The free apps are not bad at all. I quickly downloaded some interesting apps to test out and wasn't disappointed. Overall, this is a great fitness watch that you can and should consider if you are looking for a health-tracking device. It was definitely a pleasant surprise and a very positive outcome. Yes, the watch is a bit big and a bit squarish, but honestly, that is the unique trait that makes it different. People will stop you to ask what you are wearing — and you can respond, “Amazfit BIP MAX”, and you can tell them all about its virtues and sing its praise, like I just did.

This Amazfit smartwatch surprises me. It is well designed, it looks great and it functions well. It makes me question my previous smart watches purchase decisions that cost way way more than this watch. I paired this smart watch with my Android phone, and it works seamlessly. Design I can see that the design takes inspiration from the leading smartwatch brand. There are some differences and the overall impression is actually good. The watch simply looks great. The user interface is easy to navigate, and charging is also easy enough through USB-C connection. The AMOLED screen is bright enough while the colors and resolution are great. I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality of the AMOLED screen because I was not expecting it to be this good. I don’t really like the feel of the silicone band on my skin, and I change it right away. The watch is water resistant though it can only sustain 5 feet depth of water. At least the watch can be worn when taking a shower or some swimming at the pool. Performance I use the watch the whole day and it only takes less than 10% of battery use. Battery life is fantastic and exceeds major namebrands smartwatches. The watch is synced to my Android phone and the app works great. I got notifications from my phone, so the sync works great. I can change the watch face and even transform any picture of my choosing as a watch face. Always-on-display performance is also pretty good. While the watch doesn’t offer features that can be found in much more expensive smartwatches such as EKG, the features that I would use the most are here. Steps counting, heart rate measurement and blood oxygen saturation are probably the most important ones and they are there. The watch offers reminder for abnormally high and low heart rate, which is a cool feature. There’s also sleep quality monitoring. Basic functionality of the smart watch is free and there’s a subscription to get more in-depth functionalities. I’m okay with basic functionality because it already offers what I want. For daily activities, it counts steps and constantly measures heart rate as expected. There’s a lot of preset workouts to choose from and again I’m being reminded of how great value this watch is. The app offers tons of tools such as training planner and sleep tracking with in-depth metrics. There’s also rewards system. The app boosts the value of the watch that it is not just a smart watch but a tool that I can use to improve my overall wellbeing and health. Conclusion It is a great watch whether I use it for receiving notifications from my phones, telling time, or as fitness tracker. It may not have all the features out there, but the most important ones are definitely here. Like: AMOLED screen Battery life Android sync The app Fitness tracking Don’t like: Silicone strap

I'll admit from the start that I had never in my life heard of this brand before, so my expectations were kind of low for this smart watch. The unboxing experience didn't really help either as the box was kind of generic feeling and there was nothing included in the box except for the wristband and magnetic charge base. (There is no usb c cable included). Once I powered on the device and put it on my opinion instantly changed. The face of the watch is kind of big so for someone like me who is not used to wearing large watches, it took some getting used to having it on my wrist. The watch feels quite premium, the screen is large and legible for me even from chest / belly button height. The screen is bright enough to see outdoors in this Texas sun. I never once experienced it overheating, or struggling to operate while I worked outside in 100 degree weather. Im not sure how scratch or shatter resistant the screen will be but for now it's holding up good. There are only two buttons on the watch one will take you to workout activity settings and the other will take you to the watch's main menu. I'm not the biggest fan of the wrist band but it's good enough. The watch will display the time, your heart rate, your physical activity stats, temperature, and notifications that are pushed from your phone. To me, that is the biggest convenience feature. I really like that this watch will display my messages, emails, missed calls. Basically any notification that my phone is set to show will be pushed to this watch. Super convenient for keeping my phone in my pocket if I just need to take a quick glance at what came through. It keeps my eyes off my phone and focused on what I am doing throughout the day. The watch will kind of motivate you to get moving and exercise throughout the day so that it's pretty neat as well. I haven't worn it to track my sleep yet because it's too large and I don't think I'll sleep comfortably with it on. The smartwatch also has a companion app that allows you to further control the watch and programs. You can also download custom watch faces, some are free and some you can pay for. All in All I really enjoy this smart watch. It's been helpful for tracking my workout activity at the gym and when I go for walks. It lets me know how many calories ive burned and helps me keep track of calorie intake as well. I think it well be very useful for my weight loss journey. I like its helpful but simple to use features. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a smartwatch without being locked into iPhone or Android. This watch will work with either operating system and doesn't require you to commit to one phone brand.

AmazFit Bip Max Smart Watch The AmazFit Bip Max Smart Watch activity tracker that is compatible with both Android and Apple iOS. It is 50mm with a square 2.07" AMOLED touchscreen display and 416 x 416 screen resolution. What I really love about the Amazfit Bip Max is it has a battery life of up to 20 days! My other smart watches last maybe three days tops. The AmazFit smart watch is comfortable to wear during the day or when sleeping at night. It is not heavy on my wrists. Included in the box is the smart watch, charger, and user manual. Please note that a USB-C charging cable is not included in the box. This was not a big deal to me as I most of my devices and electronics use a USB-C cable. When paired with the Zepp App, the AmazFit Bip Max Smart gives BIOCharge energy monitoring, heart rate, SPO2, stress, and sleep tracking. Listen to music and podcast using the Zepp App. The Zepp App is free, however there are certain premium features which require a subscription. To personalize the AmazFit Smart Watch there are additional free and paid apps plus watch faces. If you want to track your workouts and monitor your vital signs, this is a great entry level smart watch. Highly recommend.

I am a big fan of Amazfit. Have had a few of their watches and I wanted to grab the Bip Max for my wife to use with her iPhone. In the meantime I decided to test it out before I handed it over to her as I usually get the more high end models. ----------- This bad boy packs a heck of a lot for its price. I wanted something my wife could depend on and use for more than just 2 days that her, that which shall not be named, other watch lasts. I wanted her to feel comfortable with the shape of it and be more of the design she is used to on her wrist. ----------- The screen is large, bright, and very fluid. I really like the new Zepp OS software enhancements. There are a ton of watch faces to choose from as well. The Zepp app is so innovative in my opinion and helps make the Bip Max even better. Without putting a hole too deep in your pockets cost wise, this checks off all the boxes for what you need. You'll get all notifications regardless of the phone OS you are using (compatible with both Apple and Android). ----------- Battery is fantastic and you can expect likely two weeks out of this on a single charge. Huge win compared to other companies. ----------- The watch band it comes with is very comfortable as well. The overall look is very simplistic and I personally feel this is the best hang for your buck regardless of what phone you are using, but specifically, this should be the watch you get for your iPhone if you like that rectangle design. ----------- You get continuos heart monitoring, sleep tracking, blood oxygen. Everything you need to monitor your health and track your goals as well. You also get hyrox training implemented in the software which has been taking off as of late in the outdoor and fitness world. ----------- If you have been on the fence about trying out an Amazfit watch, take the leap. You won't regret it.

This product is good but the fact that Amazfit is so lazy to not even include an USB cable is just stupid on their end. The other big issue is the watch you need to put the bands on the watch. Plus the band will make your skin bad if you leave the band on too long. You probably will want to replace the band immediately.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your feedback. We're glad to hear you're enjoying the watch overall, but we're sorry to learn that some aspects of the experience did not meet your expectations.
Please note we do not include the charging cable since it is a standard USB-C cable that is used for all current devices. To be more eco-friendly and reduce waste we have not included it with the watch. We understand this approach may not be convenient for everyone and appreciate your perspective.
Regarding the watch band, skin sensitivity can vary from person to person. We recommend ensuring the band is not worn too tightly and periodically cleaning both the band and your wrist. If irritation continues, replacing the band with an alternative material may provide a more comfortable experience.
We appreciate your honest feedback and will be sure to share it with our product team as we continue to improve our products and customer experience. Michael | Amazfit Support

Amazfit - Bip Max Smartwatch 50mm Silicone - Silver - (2026) This Bip Max Smartwatch really has a lot going for it. 1. It has super battery life. A charge can last for up to 20 days. (This eliminates the constant need for recharging the watch every day. This can really be important for those times when you don't want to have to carry the watch charger around with you.) 2. It has a large watch face (2.07 inch AMOLED display) with easy to read characters, and it provides lots of information, including: The day of the week. The date (day and month). The current time (the hour, minute and whether it's AM or PM). And it can be easily changed to show the time zone you're in when you're travelling. It continuously updates the watch face to show the number of steps you've taken each day. It monitors and shows your heart rate, And finally, it shows a number of various other health items that you can choose to show. Since I take longer daily walks (around five to ten miles) over different routes each day, having this watch keep tracks of my steps (I shoot for at least 10,000 steps each day) is a really nice feature. There was one unexpected chore that made getting started with this watch a bit unpleasant for me. The two sides of the watch band weren't attached to the watch, which meant that before I could get up and running, I had to attach the two parts of the watch band - a not-so-easy chore that I would have preferred not to have had to tackle just to get started with the watch. (I subtracted one star from my review for this.) Once the band was attached, I put it on and wore it continuously for several days. During that initial test period, I found that it did a great job of not only telling me the time, but that it also gave me a lot of valuable and helpful additional information (day, date, number of steps, heartrate, etc.). This watch has a lot going for it, and it's certainly reasonably priced for all the features that are included. If you're like me, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it. built for those who want an everyday smartwatch that can keep up with everything they try. A comfortable large watch with associated IOS and Android apps, that aids you in understanding and interpreting physical exercise and training, recovery and rest. Before I became aware of this product, you might say that I was mostly unaware of the extent that this product category has developed, so please excuse the newbie knowledge deficit as I come up to speed and try to relate my learning experience and opinions formed from using the BIP MAX. First off, the unboxing starts with a little arrow on the lower left side of the back of the box that when pulled, separates the label affixed to the box flap and the main body of the box, allowing you to get at the contents without having to rip anything to pieces to get it open. The band, the BIP MAX and the charger base are all nestled safely in designated locations. There is no USB cable or charger included, so you’ll have to improvise something from your existing expected digital life to do so. Also, you will need to attach your watchband to the BIP MAX body. It’s easy. Next, is getting the ZEPP app installed on the IOS or Android phone of at least IOS 15 or Android 7.0 that you are expected to have. The app is found by either searching for it, or using the QR code in the tiny accompanying booklet or on the screen face of the BIP MAX itself after selecting your language preference. A whole host of questions regarding access, permissions and your physical attributes will be asked during the setup and pairing of the app to the BIP MAX. If you have difficulty pairing, try deleting the Bluetooth pairing on your phone and repeating the pairing process with the QR code reading from the watch face. Finally, the last automated step will undoubtedly be updating the watch with the latest version. This may take fifteen minutes or longer for the update, but shows a progress bar on the phone during the update. There are numerous watch faces to select from in the app, in case you aren’t a fan of the original one (I found the font for the clock portion really hard to read.) and some of the faces are customizable as to the features displayed. Speaking of the displayable features, sometimes there are just too many, especially for a non-hardcore workout enthusiast like me to appreciate! I’d recommend reading the Zepp app’s instructional documentation prior to purchase to ensure that the features you are looking for are included. You will see a number of terms that maybe only an athlete or a mother would love! Consider terms like Hybrid-Charge, LifeLoad events, HYROX training, HYROX simulation, Zepp Coach, Pomodoro Timer and Zepp Flow. My interests are currently more on the lighter side of the workout realm and only hoping to work up to utilize and appreciate the more advanced features available. Battery life is appreciatively long compared to my everyday smart watch. The manufacturer claims up to 20 days of use! I’ve been wearing this watch day and night for about three days and the charge is still reading about 81 percent remaining. This of course allows the watch to inform me about all of my sleep data, which is very useful. I found it kind of awkward to wear the watch at night at first, as out of necessity, I’ve been having to charge my other watch every night. However, you do get used to wearing it. Integration to the health data on my smartphone is surprisingly thorough. Step counts and many other parameters transfer over effortlessly. One noted abnormality is detected on the iPhone’s trends section in the health app, indicating an average of about ½ of the burned calories compared to the data collected by the previously worn, bitten-fruit watch. The Zepp app is quite thorough and offers very deep dives into sleep data and all manner of physiological data relating to exercise and fitness, although the manufacturer disclaims this product’s use as a medical device, it is eligible to be paid for with HSA or FSA accounts. There are some other features that are optionally available, but after a trial period, the paid subscription format kicks in. One of them is Zepp Aura, an AI-based personalized wellness system that utilizes the data gathered from your Bip Max or other Amazfit products to deliver sleep and stress-beneficial content, whether music or soundscapes, etc. It yields reports on your wellness, assists in stress management and helps improve your sleep. This product has built-in GPS and data storage of 4GB to download offline maps, record voice memos, store podcasts, etc. There are literally so many features available on this device, that there is insufficient space to list them here. Software improvements and changes are updated frequently, so the accuracy of what I might report has the possibility to be outdated. I really like this product. It is very comprehensive and relatively inexpensive compared to products from some of the more well-known manufacturers and especially in consideration of the incredibly versatile features this product includes. If for some reason the Bip Max doesn’t have something you need, Amazfit has a wide range of products that probably does have what you are looking for. The price of this product, especially if you can apply HSA/FSA pricing considerations, makes it a great deal.

Since it arrived, I’ve worn this watch almost nonstop—while sleeping, showering, and checking the time throughout the day whenever my mom asks. It only needs to recharge every three to four days on its charging pad, which is convenient. I also appreciate its health features, though I do wish it could provide even more detailed personal health insights; unfortunately, that kind of capability is not available yet. I am totally amazed by this product, and apparently there are several more models as well. It includes many of the essential apps and features you would expect from a smartphone, while offering a range of options that helps you focus on what matters most in daily life. This version connects to your smartphone, can help locate it when misplaced, includes Bluetooth, and is durable enough to handle everyday wear while remaining waterproof. I even sleep with it on. It tracks key information such as blood pressure, weather, pulse, and oxygen levels, and it can display the time in styles similar to almost any watch you have owned. With its growing capabilities, it feels just one step away from becoming a full smartphone, a portable AI assistant, or even a compact laptop-like device. The base model that I own does everything and anything that I can expect from smartphones' most needed apps And is a piece of hardware that is built outstandingly resilient. This product almost makes me wish that I had an Amazon-built smartphone instead of the other monopoly phones since Amazon demonstrated on this device that it can encompass everything a person needs on a wrist. I was disappointed when I felt forced to move from 3G to 4G, especially because I had turned my portable tablet into a capable smartphone by taping a transmitter to its side, and it worked better than the phone I had to use. With this watch, though, I would choose to buy another one when it improves or wears out. That feels like real capitalism: a product I genuinely want, rather than one I feel pressured into buying. The smartphone in my pocket has fallen out A number of times its screen has cracked; it's been misplaced. It does not fit appropriately in a normal pocket so it is designed to slip and fall through vigorous testing by the monopoly. It's not as reliable as a phone function, roaming interrupting incompatible features It qualifies as a poor-level phone in comparison to an analog phone, whereas this Amazon watch it removes all those deficiencies and serves its primary function as a watch to tell you the time exceptionally well. Good for young people and old people. Reasonable for the healthy and the sick and disabled. I could even give it to my 91-year-old mother and she will not complain about trying to understand its primary use as whereas she cannot deal with a smartphone's primary use because it is not as presentable legacy compatible as this watch The time is easy to read can be set up without complications, although swiping your finger over the touch screen can cause confusion, like all touch screen devices seem to do, unlike a smartphone where you have to tap a bunch of visual buttons to get it to work so it covers all the legacy needs as well as the future needs; it is human-friendly for all ages The only issue I have is that I am diabetic and need glasses just to see script on a computer monitor and this watch can present so much information on its tiny screen that the letters require a magnifying glass to read and therefore I do need to push a button to get the details, but being a physical button, it doesn't enter complete artificial intelligence and demands some kind of virtual reality to pump your brain up; therefore, it covers range of different people, cultures, difficulties of health and functionalities.

So I just received and have been using the Amazfit Bip Max Smartwatch for a few days now and have been putting it through its paces. This is the first time I’ve used this brand before, so I’m kinda going in blind. But so far I’ve been somewhat impressed by it. Unboxing: * AmazFit Bip Max Smartwatch * Silicone Wrist Band * Magnetic Charging Base * User Manual/Documentation Note: It does not come with a USB-C charging cable, so you will need to provide that yourself. First up, the thing that stood out to me was the huge 2.07-inch AMOLED display. It is bright, colorful, very easy to read, and honestly just looks really good on the wrist. Setup through the Zepp app (download available of AppStore for iOS or Google Play Store for Android) was pretty straightforward and there are a ton of health and fitness features packed into this thing. You get heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen and stress tracking along with built-in GPS, offline maps and plenty of different workout modes. There is definitely more here than I will probably ever use, but I would rather have the features and not need them than need them and not have them. My other smartwatch which costs 8 times the price of this watch usually lasts a good day and a half sometimes before I have to recharge. But the AmazFit Bip Max blows that outta the water. Rated at up to 20 days depending on your settings and usage, that’s amazing. Overall, I have really enjoyed using the Amazfit Bip Max. The large AMOLED display looks great, it is comfortable to wear, battery life is excellent and there are plenty of health, fitness and smartwatch features packed into it. For the price, I think Amazfit did a really good job with this one and I would definitely recommend it. One thing I will say that needs much-needed work on is attaching the bands. I almost put it back in the box because it was a tad bit frustrating trying to attach the band. Work on this and for the price point this would be a solid 5-star buy. However, I still recommend it to those getting their first smartwatch or someone that just can’t pass up that amazing screen and battery life.

My husband and I have been pretty dedicated to Fitbits and Apple Watches for our smart watches. Over the years Fitbit has become really unreliable as far as battery life and fitness tracking is concerned. I got an Apple watch that has satisfied my needs as a primarily Apple user, but I wanted to get my android-using husband a new watch too without breaking the bank. After about two weeks of use with this watch, we're both very impressed with this Bip Max Smartwatch. If you're at all familiar with smartwatch setup, it's pretty much the same as the other major brands. You download the Zepp app and follow the instructions for setting it up and pairing it to your phone. The whole setup I think took less than 10 minutes. The watch interface is incredibly intuitive again if you're used to a smartwatch. It has a lot of customization features to it like you have for the Apple Watch and like other watches, you're able to track a lot of the same things regarding your heart rate, workouts, blood oxygen levels, etc... and it has GPS tracking similar to how Apple does. It gives you step by step navigation on the watch and so far it seems as precise. You can get app notifications on it just like the Apple watch too and the notification pattern is pretty similar. Obviously I think the biggest perk compared to especially Apple Watch is the battery life. That's what really grabbed our attention with this watch. It has excellent (maybe the best I've seen so far) battery life. We've been testing this watch for about two weeks now and haven't had to charge it yet. We haven't hit the 20 day promise of battery life, but I have a feeling we'll come close to that threshold. My personal biggest complaint if this watch were for me and not my husband is the sheer clunkiness of it. It looks very large sitting on my wrist and I think for me it would take a lot more getting used to or might be a bit more bothersome. But for my husband it looks fairly normal sized. The next biggest thing is unique to anyone who is heavily tattooed on the wrist. With the Apple watch and Fitbit, sensors don't work as well/sometimes not at all over tattoos and this watch is similar. So it makes accurate readings a bit more challenging, especially when working out because as the watch moves over a tattooed area, it stops tracking vitals accurately. We've found work arounds over the years for other watches so we're going to try some of them with this watch as well. Overall, I absolutely would recommend this watch to anyone who is looking to not spend a fortune on a name brand one and who just wants to track the basics as far as health and fitness go. Excited to see how this watch holds up over time! I'm very confident in its abilities right now.

I genuinely enjoyed using the Amazfit Bip Max. I wasn't really sure what to expect from a watch at this price, especially since I already have a watch that I use daily for my running and training, but I came away pretty impressed. First, despite having "Max" in the name, I don't think the watch feels too big. I actually really appreciate the larger screen. It's bright, easy to read, and I had no problem seeing my stats while running outdoors. For me, the biggest surprise was how capable it is as a fitness watch. I tested it on my runs, including an easy run where I added strides toward the end, and there is a surprising amount of data available afterward. I could look at my pace, heart rate, cadence, stride length, vertical oscillation, ground contact time, training load and training effect. During my strides I could even see my cadence and stride length increase and my ground contact time drop. That's the kind of information I normally associate with more serious running watches, so seeing it here was impressive. I also like that it has a microphone and speaker. Having audio cues that I can actually hear while I'm working out is a small feature, but it's something I really appreciate. Outside of running, it still does everything I would expect a smartwatch to do. I also wore it to sleep and liked how much information the Zepp app gave me afterward. It tracked my sleep duration, sleep stages, sleeping heart rate and respiratory data and put everything into an easy to understand sleep score. There's honestly quite a bit to explore in the app between workouts, recovery and everyday health tracking. Is it going to replace my current daily training watch? Probably not, but I also don't think that's really the point of this watch. For the price, I think the Bip Max makes a ton of sense for a beginner or novice who wants to get more serious about their fitness without immediately spending hundreds of dollars on a dedicated sports watch. That's ultimately what impressed me the most. It works well as an everyday smartwatch, but it doesn't feel like fitness and running were just thrown in as an afterthought. It's a genuinely capable workout watch too. For the price, I think Amazfit packed a lot into the Bip Max and I really enjoyed my time with it.

I picked this up because I wanted a smartwatch without the smartwatch price, and the first thing that struck me is how little I think about it. It goes through 3-4% of its battery a day. That's not a typo. Compared to the nightly ritual a Samsung or an Apple watch asks of you, this thing just sits on my wrist and works. I put it on, and days later it's still nowhere near needing a charge. At night, I don’t have to look at the charge before turning in. Sleep tracking is only useful if the watch is actually on you overnight, and it is, because I'm never pulling it off to top it up. On the core job of being connected to your phone, it holds up. Notifications come through, updates come down, and health data syncs over without me managing it. It works with either Android or Apple, which is more than you can say for the obvious alternatives — nobody has to switch phones to wear one of these. The tracking covers what most people actually want to know: steps, heart rate, oxygen level, sleep, and stress. Core statistics, no fuss. And the basics are all there on the watch itself — alarm clock, timer, stopwatch, calendar, voice memos. The stuff you really need is exactly where you’d like to find it. There are watch face options to meet most people’s needs. If there’s not one there, just remember: It’s a smart watch, not a fashion piece. Now the catch, and it's the honest trade-off at the heart of this watch. There's no app store, so companion apps are few. There are no payment apps either. You’ll have to pull out your wallet at the register like it’s 2017 again. This is not the watch to get if it’s going to be your only device. It’s designed as an accessory and priced like it. It’s also why the battery does what it does. You're not running an ecosystem on your wrist; you're running a watch that tracks your health and shows you your notifications. Strip out the app store and the payments and you get a week-plus of battery instead of a nightly charge (20 days per the manufacturer). For me that's a trade I'd make again, and I'd make it at this price without thinking twice. Bottom Line: If you want the useful 90% of a smartwatch — notifications, real health tracking, the everyday tools — and you'd rather have battery life than an app store, this is a lot of watch for the money and an easy recommendation on either Android or iPhone. If tapping to pay or loading up third-party apps is why you want a smartwatch in the first place, spend the extra and get an Apple or Samsung. You'll be charging it every night, but you'll get what you came for.
